Incredible story. I’m lucky enough to have the Uzumaki deluxe manga and reading this was amazing. The entire time I was captivated and had to keep reading. The artwork in this was beyond great, the detailed horror in this manga is what makes Ito the best horror mangaka I’ve ever read. The characters were very unique but also entertaining as we see how they would traverse their problems with the horrors following them. This is definitely his magnum opus and I have to say that, I definitely recommend this to anyone seeking the horror genre and looking for a great story and artwork along side ... it.

I just want to start off by saying that I’d prefer if some of the stories were expanded on more but the authors artistic choice of leaving it up to the reader is something I need to personally accept. Anyway this manga is good but can be a bit shallow at times now I will say that this has very very good art and the horrors in these book are genuinely terrifying especially if your reading at night. I genuinely have mixed feelings because I like horror but this was kind of a new branch I haven’t got into fully but I don’t mind it ... as of currently reading. I’d have to say I’d recommend this manga if your like horror and have a good imagination otherwise I’d say to leave it if you think you’d wouldn’t like what I’ve described.

Urasawa genuinely might be my favourite author of all time. The way he can create such amazing mysteries and captivating manga is beyond me, with this and monster being an example. He starts off each manga slow paced which may put people off but the build up to the endings and the resolutions are unmatched in my opinion. I honestly can’t wait to read more of his stuff like Master Keaton and hopefully Billy Bat when it’s released in English. If you ask me 20th century boys is worth reading but I at be a little biased but even so it’s a must read for ... anyone who’s not read it yet.

Solid work from Junji ito, this might be my favorite piece of his work I’ve read so far. I found the plot to really unpredictable but that’s what made it really entertaining to find out what was going to happen next. My favorite character in this has to taburou because of his cool design and because I felt like he was the coldest out of all them. Anyways the story is great and the art style and characters are amazing. If you like a unique type of story with great artwork and is a horror genre I’d say definitely check it out it’s really good ... manga.
