As for other cyberpunk, I really look forward to exploring this graphic novel called Empty Zone which is way darker than Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners. Very dark because of zombie horror included with thanatology research possibly going wrong. Thanatology or the field of science Doctor T studied in Gungrave. Too bad his experiments feel into the hands of a criminal empire.

Yes! Edgerunners is getting a second season some time. Maybe around the same time Microsoft releases Project Helix which is said to be a hybrid PC. Best of luck to Sony.

All the Steam and GOG users will be invited to that Project Helix hybrid console like it's a party. A Brazilian guy wanted to play JRPGs on a Microsoft console decades ago. Well! His wish is more granted than ever before and he'll be able to enjoy SaGa Frontier HD on Project Helix via digital storefronts. I hope that he'll say hello to Octopath Traveler as well.

I was watching Gilmore Girls with my family recently and remembered Alexis Bledel being the same age as you. I'm glad that she's still alive while doing great in life after all these years. Still beautiful after all these years as well.

I had no idea that you enjoyed mango. Other than that, I hope that it'll be the adaptation that will live up to your expectations.

I also completed First Departure R, one of the the most underrated JRPG ever made. It aged better than most Final Fantasy remakes for handhelds. It took a while to get ported for Switch as well. The dub is incredible because of familiar voices. Whoever voiced Millie did a great job and Julie Maddalena's surprised me (I don't remember her Ilia voice used in anime). I'm more used to her cutesy Dita or Mirabelle Graceland voice. Richard Epcar (old enough to be my dad) did a great job as always.

As we can see, he was part of the Jade Cocoon cast before he voiced Batō in SAC.

Speaking of Stand Alone Complex, happy belated birthday to Yoko Kanno. Her music is a bit more iconic in SAC than the music 1997 Ghost in the Shell got.

It's been ages since I last participated in an anime watching challenge for those MAL forums. I do thank that and Youtube for getting me into Hyper Police which is the epitome of underrated. Having Yuko Miyamura and Kotono Mitsuishi in the cast is still reason enough for me to enjoy it.

Code Vein 2 may not be a hit, but at least Sayaka Ohara is in the cast. Yep! She got supporting roles in Cowboy Bebop before she became the voice of my beloved Selvaria.

I played Expedition 33 about a month and a half ago. Proving that turn-based combat still works. Grandia 3 (amazing soundtrack) has modern, turn-based combat and I love it. Turn-based combat is definitely that underrated nowadays.

I also had no idea that manga existed and I would sure love to see plenty more adaptations of numerous graphic novels.

Suikoden 3 is definitely that other manga that deserves an adaptation. Not that many graphic novels revolve around class warfare, but OK.

Cyberpunk-wise, I might check out the Ghost in the Shell Arise series eventually. It should be able to entertain me before more news about Dot Hack Zero will be disclosed.

I think that CyberConnect2 owes retro gamers Tail Concerto remastered. Maybe something remastered for fans of Naruto Ultimate Ninja fans as well.

Holidays aside, how are you doing so far?

I finished reading Guyver and have started reading East of West, very dystopian western stuff.

I love the fact that the western genre has evolved while expanding into different media.

As for video games, I look forward to new releases from Nihon Falcom.

More importantly, I hope that you had a jolly birthday last week. December is a very busy month so far.

I hope that you also had a wonderful birthday gift as of late. Maybe it's some really interesting manga.

With that said, I hope that Aki Shimizu's Suikoden 3 manga will be adapted into anime. Though it's Suikoden 1 and 2 that must be adapted first. I hope that they will succeed together as one, big adaptation. That way, Aki Shimizu's manga adaptation will be next in line. Her manga adaptation is more detailed than the original story made by Yoshitaka Murayama (may he RIP).

Three is a highly standalone so it's great for beginners. Four is what I started out with, but the story isn't as deep. Five is pretty standalone also, but the game lags unless emulated; its story is pretty good though and the voice acting is perfect, the peak PS2 graphics also. That's right, my old PS2 refused to play Suikoden 5 so I had to emulate it.

So yes Monet, I love deep fantasy stories like that franchise, Arc The Lad (2 is peak; 3 is good enough for comedy) and more. True fantasy over isekai guaranteed.

I also hope that Where Winds Meet is also inspired by Journey To The West like Suikoden. Dragon Ball was inspired by that Chinese novel as well.

Wow milady! I had no idea that you explored so many games and different themes through that plethora of games this fall.

I really gotta check out Arc Raiders some time, but power to the indie developers. Next year may also be their most promising year because so many interesting games are coming out in Year of the Horse.

Ninja Gaiden 4 has been meeting my expectations as usual. Black and 2 are my personal favorites in this franchise though.

Korean mmorpgs, as usual, are also my specialty. Playing Ragnarok Online with the latest classes and mechanics with you would be like a dream come true (you would probably go the gunslinger route and blast bosses with your shotgun). More importantly, glad old mmorpgs from Korea got massive updates. Just like in the world of Dot Hack.

I was also taking Japanese quizzes when I didn't have anything else to do.

Aside from reading some indie comics, I've been playing Suikoden 2. It's been ages since I last played a Suikoden game.

Yes, Suikoden 5 was that last one I played and I'm exploring class warfare once again. That's exactly what the central theme of Suikoden is.

I've also been informed that a Suikoden 2 adaptation is coming.

I hope that Tomokazu Seki can take on the role of Luca Blight, the most evil antagonist in that game.

My other friend from North Carolina would definitely recruit Kasumi so that she would get ninjas real early. She really loves ninjas despite being ruthless assassins historically.

I enjoyed it as it's own thing, and it does have echoes of YKK, but that's still a pretty high expectation!
I would say it's more chaotic than YKK mostly because there are more characters and it covers a much, much longer period, so if YKK is a quiet day-in-the-life of an android, Apocalypse Hotel becomes the grand highlights over centuries from an androids POV.
I would recommend it, but leave the comparison so you can enjoy it for what it is. <3

How are you doing this summer?

I caught another flu, but I'm better now (good thing my little shaggy dog kept me company) and I can't wait to get pick up where I left off in Legend of Dragoon. Gotta do some mandatory boss fights without transformations. Dart has mediocre overall stats and is more suitable for support like Zidane (this kid is easily outclassed by Amarant in physical attacks so Throw over Thievery which has a tedious animation and does boring damage).

Good thing that transformations are completely mandatory in SMT like Digital Devil Saga.

As for Yuki Kajiura, it's been ages since I last watched Madlax (I love Houko Kuwashima who I see as Isara Gunther and Sera from said SMT game). My friend from North Carolina that I haven't seen in years loves the fact that she sang a song for Gundam SEED as See Saw. Yes! Being the semitomboy that she is, is kind of crazy about space operas.

I know numerous space operas that deserve adaptations. Yes! Aside from Copperhead (getting interesting at volume or issue 6) which is also space western.
