That would be very interesting to see! The genre certainly does appeal more to a broader audience these days. I remember back before series such as Sailor Moon change the formula of how magical girl titles went. Most played out as a slice of life, with the Magical elements only a side story to the actual plot. This was especially true in the 80s and '90s. There will usually wasn't a whole lot at stake.

All right so off the top of my head, Ladies versus Butlers comes to mind. In my opinion it doesn't feel very forced and has some genuinely funny ecchi moments.
