Yes I would love to chat with you more 😁 (pardon my late response lol....)

My favorite game OST is difficult to decide.....the persona and touhou series both have peak music across all games, and there's so many other games with great music, like Nier Automata. but if I had to narrow it down to a single game, I think Etrian Odyssey V has my favorite. The soundtrack is great and it has a lot of emotional significance to me because I played the game all through middle school, so it makes me nostalgic :)

Here are some of my favorite tracks from the game:

What about you, what are some of your favorite video game OSTs? Have you been playing any interesting games lately?
WingsR Sep 4, 9:00 AM
Progress! Good job and all that^^
Ah, interesting, but now that I think about it I have heard that Automata take a while to really get good, so I think I can understand that; I'm fine with something requiring a lot of build up and I think that's what the case is here, but no need to go into it, I'll see for myself one of these days.
It has been a lot of work, but it's been worth it^^ I can help you get started if you're interested at all, but if you don't have the time or aren't that interested then that's fair enough; I just want to offer on the off chance that that would be useful.
I will pass on looking at that for now my friend.
^^

Thank you I appreciate it and cute picture 😊

You're doing better than me in that regard since I never really send them myself and wait for people to send me one. I don't think there's a right answer anyway, so I don't think you can do better than what you think is appropriate.
I'm not surprised they don't, I think that's admittedly the only reason I know of the character, whereas most people probably think of them at least a bit differently due to having played the games or whatnot.
Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you meant to say about Replicant, whether you have or haven't replayed it. I'm sure I'll enjoy the series when I get around to them yeah, they seem very up my alley in terms of being really weird and philosophical, as well as being hack and slash games.
I can just about read it at my level but I wouldn't be able to produce a competent translation for many years, so someone will probably get to it first, but I will indeed need all the luck and effort I can get if I ever get around to that, so thank you^^ Oh yeah, that Tsukihime remake has been in the works for a WHILE hasn't it; that's another one I want to read as it happens but I'll probably stick to the original.
I'm sure we could both perhaps be better at getting to things, but it's probably okay as it is and we can work on that or whatever given time, so it's not something to worry over too much.
WingsR Sep 3, 11:00 AM
I honestly think that precisely because something is good not everyone will like it, and that's how it should be.
Are there that many characters in Dark Souls that could be called an otoko no ko? Or is it just not something people say about them often lmao.
Yeah, that definitely sounds like the main appeal of the games, it probably would be even to me since I do want to get to them someday myself.
I might give it a shot one day if no one else does, but that won't be for many years. And we did finally get an official release of Fate/stay night so it might actually happen.
That's totally fine yeah, only if they look like series you'd enjoy; and even then I'm so slow sometimes at getting to series people get me interested in, so regardless of what you end up doing I totally understand.
P.S. A Good time indeed^^
WingsR Sep 3, 10:45 AM
It's a crazy long manga though, it's like fifty volumes! Which is probably why it's so good.
That they are; just because it's good doesn't mean it's for everyone.
Yeah, that's who I meant. There's this piece of concept art for them that I've thought looks really cool for ages now.
That makes perfect sense to me; the Drakengard and Nier games have so much more to them than the gameplay, and you wouldn't get that from something like Bayonetta at all.
I hope it gets completed someday; there's only a single volume and one chapter to go, but I feel like a full official release is more likely at this point unfortunately.
I would be most glad if you end up enjoying them and I got to share them with someone since some of them are amongst my absolute favourite manga^^
WingsR Sep 3, 9:00 AM
And thank you for it^^
For something I have an interest in, it did seem like an unnecessary risk, and I've accidentally spoilt myself in silly ways far too many times to risk doing it again.
I kind of feel that way too, from what I hear the visual novel is almost always the best version and often by a significant amount, but I have heard that the manga is really good as well and I'd probably be more likely to read the manga than the visual novel, but I hadn't thought about the music before and that might be enough reason for me to put in the extra effort to read the visual novel.
I thought it was Higurashi that had the awful anime adaptation.
I'm sure Elden Ring wouldn't be too hard for me, since I've definitely played harder, but it doesn't super interest me either. Speaking of otoko no kos though, there's that one in one of the Dark Souls games that I forget the name of who has a really cool design.
Yup, a series of hack and slash video games that I like a lot; Bayonetta doesn't have the most witchy design herself but the series is actually super witchy.
No yeah, most people probably don't know so I'd definitely explain the term as well myself if I brought it up.
You are correct, and the fan translation isn't complete either.
Haha, I had a slight feeling you might not have expected that many from me^^ Rosen Garten Saga doesn't focus on that kind of stuff too much, whereas the others are all a hundred percent focused on it, and it's also a rather insane manga that would probably put a lot of people off, but I can absolutely recommend all of the others very easily.
WingsR Sep 3, 8:00 AM
Oh I was not expecting such an extravagant answer, this is most splendid^^
Umineko is something I'd like to read one day, either the manga or the visual novel I'm not quite sure; I'd otherwise look up their designs but I feel like it might be best not to just to be safe.
Oh yeah, that being the specific origin of your username makes a lot of sense now that you mention it, that's not a game I'm really familiar with at all but she does look very cool, very witchy.
Yup yup, a very solid witch she is^^
Oh Artiswitch look right up my alley, Nina herself looks super cool especially.
I think off the top of my head for myself it's mostly Kirisame Marisa and Bayonetta who I like, and being as fond of those two as I am I just gained a general fondness for witches.
Ahahaha, I definitely know what otoko no ko means myself but thank you for explaining anyway.
Funnily enough I don't actually really count Astolfo for that since I read the light novels so you don't see him much, but to say that that aspect of him isn't at least a bit of a plus would be a lie.
Gawain from Rosen Garten Saga who's on my favourites as well, Aikawa Kizuna from Prunus Girl, Kijima Ryousuke from Bokura no Hentai, Ikeda Yoshinori from Yubisaki Milk Tea, and say Amata Soutarou from Kaisha to Shiseikatsu as well.
WingsR Sep 3, 7:30 AM
Any particular witches you're a fan of or is your username more of an allusion to Ryukishi07's works? Not that I'm familiar with them myself, but I know a tiny amount, enough to perhaps think that.
WingsR Sep 2, 11:00 AM
Ah yes, it's been very fun for me as well^^ And I hope you end up enjoying any of those games if slash when you get to them!
WingsR Sep 2, 10:45 AM
They did a really good job with Curse of the Moon, Inti Creates make some of my favourite games in general and both of those were super fun; I only beat the second Curse of the Moon game once but I super need to do it again, and I really want to play more of the first game as well even though I've already beaten it like six times. It's definitely the best way to get into the classic Castlevania style of games I think.
Glad to hear, didn't want to accidentally get you too enthused or anything. That said, something that might help your decision is giving these games a look since I think they're more or less the same type of game, by the same developers even, and those might be a bit easier to find on the internet.
WingsR Sep 2, 10:30 AM
Oh nice, glad that I could tell you about it then; the older Castlevania games are pretty hard so that's totally fair but Curse of the Moon is quite a bit easier than the actual older Castlevania games, it's actually super fun and there's a surprising amount of things to do in it if slight variations on the same game interest you. I'm sure it would be super cheap on sale yeah^^
Ah yes, thank you for that! It doesn't look like it's ever been on too big of a sale, only twenty percent, but that's still probably worth waiting for if you're not super duper sold on it. It does cost a decent bit yeah, but it looks like it's probably a pretty big game as well and the reviews all seem really good, but don't buy it just because of me saying that, be smart - whatever that entails for you. I'd probably get it on a sale myself, maybe look into it a bit more as well, but I think I'm sold on the concept.
WingsR Sep 2, 10:15 AM
Oh yeah, that second trailer is really good, I can totally see why that would draw you in - I was more simply interested just because "new Castlevania" myself.
I played Bloodstained pretty close to when it came out, so I don't think I've actually played any of the DLC for it at all. Did you ever play the Curse of the Moon games, or are you not really interested in the classic style of Castlevania?
I have not played that game before unfortunately, but it does look like something I would enjoy - it's even got PC-98 characters and Hisoutensoku playable, that's so cool.
WingsR Sep 2, 10:00 AM
Oh Bloodstained adding co-op rings a bell but I definitely haven't been keeping up with the updates for that game, it's one of my favourites as well actually and I really need to play it again someday. Aria of Sorrow is another one that I super need to play, I've heard really good things about it for years; very solid favourites you've got there^^
Oh yeah I forgot about Luna Nights, I have played that one - it's quite short and straightforward, but it was really fun all the same.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
