Oh... i think mistakes happen in every work, so don't worry at all. I still make some mistakes :p
86?!?! OH MY GOD THAT'S SO COOL!! I wish i could buy that amount of books, really. In Spain are really expensive 😭
I started One Piece as a kid because it was in a kids channel (i don't remember which one) but it was only Skypiea so it was a bit confusing hahah. A year later i started and i'm still watching until now. I also "started" reading the manga months ago but Oda's drawings overwhelme me. I mean, they are awesome but i always get lost what am i reading. And well, i'm more loyal to the anime :p
I love the live action too but i think they will have to cut a lot of things from the original source (because the cast will get old and it will be tha same that happened with stranger things lmao 🤣🤣)
This season i'm seeing a lot of animes (my fault), and the worst is that half of them are not good but i always finish the animes where i've already watched more than 3 episodes (At least the seasonal ones). And for the BL... well, it's not the best one but as you say... a bl is a bl and people who likes that genre wants to see anything animated.
Liar Game was interesting at first... but it gets more confused in each episode and loooonger. They have to stop that or they will end broke.
It's ok if your replies are long because we can talk about more topics hehe (and i practice my english :p) Have a nice week :)
Sorry for the late response! I'd genuinely forgotten to respond to your comment.
I used to abuse govt employees a lot in the past but now that I know what a public facing work profile looks like, they have my full sympathy. People are stupid, entitled and rude. And I'm forced to deal with all of these traits on a daily basis.
The politician had no reputation bc he wasn't a well-known one. Most of us came to know of him after he was named in the Epstein files and the Indian internet was full of memes over what a patriot he is 😂😂 I tried finding some for you, but all were in Hindi. Here's one for you, though https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUSo3sKDHmd
Well, wow. Vanity and extra marital affairs. Must have been quite the spicy gossip in your country.
So what's the payout % of insurance companies when natural calamities do strike in your country? Are they as corrupt as they are here?
It sounds like you are trying your best at your new job, well done. Congrats on crossing the three months threshold. I agree it is so tiring though, I have no idea how people have the energy to work a full time job, do hobbies and chores in the evenings, and then go on trips at the weekend. A few days ago I was so tired after work I slept all evening, night and through the morning - thank goodness I did not have work the next day lmao. I work in a public facing job and just dealing with the public themselves is an exercise in misery. The problem is you can have mostly lovely customers but there will always be one or two horrible ones that completely cast a shadow over the rest of your day. I've got thicker skin now than when I started working with the public so it bothers me less, but a scary amount of people enjoy harassing me and/or my colleagues and that makes me angry.
For the Tour, yes, each team will essentially pick one or two riders from their team they will all support to win. Technically anyone can win, the yellow jersey is just awarded to the fastest overall rider across 20-ish stages, but you generally need the support of others to even get into the right position to win. It is very very hard to accomplish by yourself. So its a team sport with individual winners haha. If you were to compare it to football, the other players set the ball up in the right position for the striker to score, but the striker usually still gets all the credit xD
But as you said, camaraderie is very important for the sport in general (even if at times it is only surface level - there is sooo much cycling drama!)
Yeah i'm actually pretty sad the ultra beasts were never expanded upon further. They all have super weird and wonderful designs and I would have loved to see more. I don't dislike the paradox pokemon per se but they aren't as cool to me. Maybe Rotom and Magearna too for a cyber type? I know, I am so eager to hear more about Winds and Waves, especially the starter evolutions. It seems like Zelda is the focus for now though due to the 40th Anniversary. That is not a franchise I got into until I was an adult so it doesn't hold the same pull over me haha, what about yourself?
I totally get what you mean about reading books on a screen, especially in relation to college. Wow am I so sick of reading academic texts haha.
Ooh I didn't know there was a dragon quest bundle, I will see if it is available where I am. I finally got my Switch 2 - just barely squeaked in before the price increase - but haven't had much time to actually use it yet. Fata Morgana is a weird one. I use a price tracker to track all my wanted Switch titles and FM barely went up and down over time. But then I got an alert that there is a completely different version of the same game I had never seen before (I think just with or without some extra bits, i'm not 100% sure) that had dipped down to a historic low discount for the first time in many years so I just went for that version instead. I think its about mid length by VN standards, around 30 hours? It has 8 chapters but individually they are not super long. But so far they have all dealt with heavy topics so it is not exactly light reading. How do you feel about VN's yourself?
Yes, a character that is strong/overpowered but not faultless is the best, and Lelouch fits that well. Seeing best friends turn to enemies (not completely of their own fault) is effective too. I totally get what you mean with the official art lmfao, early 2000's anime was a different time. The one of Lelouch and his mother certainly comes to mind!
I ended up getting the chance to binge World is Dancing and wow is it good, thank you for the recommendation. I know nothing about literally any of what the show is about (Japanese history, traditional dancing, etc.) but I still found it a really effective watch. Oniyasha has many flaws but he is also literally only 12, and you can feel him taking the lessons he is learning to heart. I really like how the dancing remains the main focus of the anime whilst it also tackles some really difficult topics. But wow the last few episodes have been heartbreaking. Have you seen the most recent one?
I think my favourite dancing so far is still Shirabyoushi's from eps 1 and 2, its presented so beautifully, but the Old Woman at the Post story is a contender.
Also the tortoise is so freaking cute lol.
Oh I didn't realise Black Torch was axed, that would explain the chapter count. As you say, very interesting that it was chosen to be adapted. It would be cool if it gave the original creator more room to exercise their initial vision. You say it and a manga were the first two titles you have struggled to score - what was the manga, if you don't mind me asking? And I agree, Lara is definitely giving off those vibes.
I am not too surprised to hear that about the PMMM movie. If I can be cynical, the franchise is probably far too big a cash cow to kill off yet. Thought it has to reach a conclusion at some point, there are surely only so many times the universe can be reset.
Magia Record is an interesting one. I can only speak for the first season, and even then barely, as I got frustrated with the show and cast most of it out of my mind.
MR, as far as I know, was an adaptation of the story from a PMMM gacha game. As you would expect of a gacha game it had many, many new magical girls to gacha pull for and the anime's job was to flesh them out a bit more and try and make you care for them all in 13 episodes. This did not succeed for a lot of people, including myself; it is often cited as having rushed or strange pacing. I personally didn't find the new characters engaging and you really need to make the audience care for characters if you are about to put them through a gauntlet of suffering or it will quickly seem pointless. The story itself was fairly lacklustre and plays with the established canon in ways that some fans did not like as well.
Most of the original girls appear to varying degrees, but they are undeniably in a supporting role. How well your fave was treated also probably affected your overall enjoyment. For example, if you were a Sayaka Miki fan, you were eating (comparatively) good. From what I remember she gets to interact with the main cast in meaningful ways and gets some really hype moments for herself too. (Which is honestly good, cause Sayaka had the short stick of the fandom for a looong time). Meanwhile, again from what I remember, Mami gets basically brainwashed due to being "unable to handle the truth" (which has become a weird hallmark of her character in modern times that I despise) and becomes a puppet of the bad guys, having lost her own will. Holy Mami is great but it comes at the cost of what I would dramatically consider a character assassination. She becomes your basic damsel in distress. As is obvious I am a little biased on this topic so take it with a large grain of salt but I don't think I am the only person that feels this way.
The series got a second season that was received about the same and as you say has become a weird sticking point in the franchise for a lot of people.
Regrettably despite consuming a fair amount of anime/manga over the last decade I have done a shockingly good job of avoiding the classics/faves, Bleach being among them. I think the only BIG big franchise I have interacted with meaningfully is One Piece. I definitely need to get into Bleach but its intimidating to approach such an esteemed work with such a long history for the first time haha. I'm happy to hear the new season is so good though, it was very highly anticipated as far as I can tell. And I love a good plot twist so I will need to get on it at some point if that is the case.
Oh lastly I am curious if you are a MCU/superhero fan? I probably would have considered myself one a decade ago but kinda fell out of the loop of it a while back now. But it's been back on my mind recently with all the 'Doomsday' promotion (which I think is the new Avengers arc?) I am very interested to see if it manages to attain the same pop culture presence it had before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Summer is over here now and there's a chill in the air again. I hope your September is a good one. :D
Hmm, thanks for the suggestions. I honestly prefer autumn-type weather, neither too hot nor too cold, and out of curiosity, does it snow there? Maybe I'll go someday. A cousin of mine has already been and it seemed interesting. I don't remember the exact places, but I think it was a mountain from the photos. But who knows Should I go too? Lol
I understand, I think I'm a little depressed, I'm trying to take care of myself, but thank God I'm getting better, it's been the opposite for me, I'm always trying to keep in touch with My friends and relatives, because it really makes me feel better, as I'm very attached to practically all of them. That event my uncle went to seemed really cool, it had so many video games! Here in Brazil, there's the biggest gaming event in Latin America called BGS, have you heard of it?
I heard that Haibane Renmei is an anime that starts out lighthearted and comedic, and then seems to get deeper. Honestly, Lain wasn't an anime for me, but I understand a little why it is Acclaimed, understand? Ergo Proxy might be the same thing, but I think I would like it more.
Yes, that's absurd, and I'll tell you, in August I started working at an Italian brand ice cream shop, which was a 5x2 schedule, but I don't remember if I've already told you, but my parents separated and that really affects me. I stayed for 7 days and quit because I wanted more time to clear my conscience, enjoy the people around me more, and have another hobby. I'm improving, and when I'm better... I'm going to look for a new job that's closer to my home.
The Sanctuary saga is the most iconic, it really made an impression on me, and I've already played Saint Seiya 2 on PS2 and Saint Seiya 1 on PS3, and they're all great. I really couldn't believe it when I found out Asgard was filler, because it seemed so much like a canon saga. But otherwise I've only seen the Asgard, Sanctuary, Poseidon and Hades sagas. I see that Saint Seiya has many sagas overall, but I've only seen these so far.
Yes, I'm thinking about it. I want to see if I can do it because I've already done child psychiatry; it helped me for a while, but unfortunately it didn't help me much as I got older.
Gintama really looks funny, I have to see if I give it a try, what's your favorite season?
Charlotte, I think the first half is good, but the second half I find kind of bad, I think it's mediocre overall.
What you pointed out is a good justification, but I believe the author could consider how a character's power will evolve, you know? Because perhaps this aspect leaves something to be desired In Fairy Tail, even though it might seem like something beautiful at first glance, it can appear as if the author is too lazy to introduce a new idea, if you understand what I mean.
Perhaps Edens Zero can be a little fun, but whether it's good is another story. It's because I prefer a more credible opinion, not that I'm a critic or anything, but I like I'm trying to have an opinion that makes more sense because I think that allows us to enjoy a work more. I don't believe that a work is inherently "good" or "bad"; I believe that this isn't definitive, although there are valid arguments for criticizing or praising a work. Have you seen the anime on my list that I've watched? I haven't tagged all the anime yet, but I'll give a summary of my opinion on some of them.
I unfortunately worked at that place on my birthday, but luckily I received more birthday wishes than I ever imagined. And I'm glad you had a good birthday, it seemed like it was great.
The 7 days I worked were deposited into my account, and now I already have over 800 BRL, but my goal is 20,000 BRL. It's still a start, but I still have more obstacles to overcome. Thank you very much.
Seriously? How long does the Switch 2 battery last?
The time I had a Wii was great, I miss the days when I played Wii Sports and Mario Galaxy haha
I know how to use it with control; I'm not addicted, but I use it frequently because I have many friends, and I watch anime and play games with them. But can you believe that the current Brazilian government banned video calls on Discord? And I was really pissed.
I think that's normal; some works were like that for me, but there are anime that, even though I watched many years ago, I still have a lot of affection for and still believe they are very good works. A great example is pokémon xy and xyz, Have you watched it yet?
Unfortunately, it's really bad. I used to like it, but then I realized it was kind of bad too. I haven't seen domestic girlfriend yet, but it really looks bad too.
Tokyo Revengers: I have very low expectations for it, and a friend of mine recently finished the manga and thought it was garbage. And he even commented on a Discord server, "I really don't intend to play, and if I do, it'll be crazy
When I was a big Pokémon fan, I was prejudiced against Digimon because I thought it was a copy of Pokémon, but I guess that's not true, right?
That's interesting. I've been called a poser before for saying I like a little of everything
Yes I let go. Her brother contacted me asking what had happened and I let him know and honestly blocked him after that. I don't need it.
I haven't gotten to Sayonara Lara
Thanks!
Hmmm I'm not sure. I know for sure I'll be watching the final arc of Tokyo Revengers. Other than that I haven't checked what's gonna be released. How about you? What are you excited for?
Well I'm starting to feel sensitivity so I'll have to check that out
Nice! Completing a whole LN set is so satisfying, definitely money well spent haha.
And yeah, totally on Smoking Behind the Supermarket. Age gaps usually get weird fast, but since they’re both working adults dealing with life, their dynamic just feels super grounded and wholesome. No weird tropes, just two tired people catching a break together.
Grand Blue S3 has been pure gold. Iori randomly speaking English caught me so off guard, I died laughing. It’s easily the best show to just turn your brain off to after work.
Your take on You and I Are Polar Opposites actually makes me want to start it next. I hate when romance anime drag out petty misunderstandings for 10 episodes, so having leads who actually talk things out sounds so refreshing.
Haven’t caught up with the new Bleach yet! I've been seeing clips all over my feed though and the animation looks ridiculous. Is it really living up to the hype that much? Might have to squeeze it into my weekend binge haha.
Modern Family has its flaws; I’m not going to say it’s perfect, it’s a product of the time, but for me the good things surpass the mistakes. For me it’s the best sitcom of TV history.
Shameless is on my eternal list of plan-to-watch hahaha. It truly infuriates me the quantity of movies, series, anime, books, and games I have to play, watch, and read, because I really want to finish all of them, but at the same time it gives my joy/hype to keep consuming pop-culture media.
I could pass decades talking about pieces of media that I want to catch up on, like The Sopranos, The Apothecary Diaries, The Worst Person in The World, Ghibli Movies, The Snowman (Jo Nesbø book), and The Witcher games.
In psychology we say everything in excess is bad, so it’s about the selective focus not starting to damage your life, like in neurobiological disorder (ADHD, for example), but in essence it’s a biological and evolutionary aspect that we have had since the dawn of time.
I'm happy that my explanation made sense for you.
In Dead By Daylight, all killers and survivors have different powers, like Michael Myers, who has aura-reading, the ability to see characters through walls, which shows outlines of players through solid objects, and survivors have powers like Self-Care, which allows you to heal yourself without a med-kit or another player's help anytime you are injured, though it takes longer than a standard heal.
I’m not giving any spoilers, but in the movie we see the differing views and opinions of the 12 jurors and how prejudice and personal issues can become intertwined with objective truth and the pursuit of justice; in the end it’s a combination of all the jurors' possibilities and theories.
The movie is a masterpiece and a masterclass in directing a film that relies on a single setting, a small cast, and brilliantly written dialogue.
Like I said, I treat pop culture as a passion of mine, so I never plan to watch a movie a day or set deadlines or metrics for myself, because that would turn it into work and take away all the magic. So I will not promise anything, but I'm going to watch something hahaha.
I love to take my time to reflect about something that I watch and see another when I feel it’s right or when I need a movie to lift spirits or to celebrate something, or even when the weather is right.
Nothing is better than watching a horror movie alone at home or on a Friday the 13th/Halloween, Christmas movies in December, etc.
For September in the cinemas, I’m planning on watching Resident Evil and Forgotten Island.
My wish is to put some of my need to watch movies on my list, like The Worst Person in the World, The Apothecary Diaries seasons, and True Detective Series.
Lately, many beloved celebrities have passed away too soon, like Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.
Hasta nuestra próxima conversación, amigo mío; que ten un excelente septiembre ;)
I have seen so many reels and videos of people recreating it with their partners, and all of them were very good. I myself kinda liked the anime but am not a huge fan of it.
Best part of you and i is how much it focuses on the other couple too. I think Taira and Azuma are not really gonna date but it wil be open ending whre the viewers can decide if they think they are dating.
Congrats on quitting smoking; it's gonna be hard, but quiitng it gonna be one fo the best thing . It wil take tiem tho cause smoking is an addiction, but soon the urges will die down.
I am currently playing Stellar Blade. I am like off and on with games; I play it for 3 days, then i wont play it for a week, etc. For shows other than anime , i did start Malcolm in the Middle, but watching it at a slow pace.
Hmm i did, that ep and the season itself is peak. The episode legit redeemed Orihime. In the manga, nothing like this happened, and we also saw his true bankai, which was so cool. Now, i wonder how the show is gonna end and are we gonna see aizen bankai or not?
Superman have been my favorite for a long time, but I don't remember why or when. Spider-Man happen to be my favorite from Marvel and I love how both of them have red and blue color scheme for their costumes. I have watched the Infinity War and End Game so many time already that I lost count. I have not watched any of the X-Men movies yet, but I plan to watch it eventually.
I have been watching Bleach since middle school that might be the greatest episode I have ever witnessed. Everything was perfect from the animation to soundtrack, direction, voice acting, sound effects and storytelling.
Thank you, seriously ^^ The whole university process stressed me out way more than I expected, so finally getting accepted felt like a massive weight off my shoulders. It still feels a little surreal that I’m actually starting this new chapter now, but I’m really excited too.
And yeah… your guess about the relationship is pretty much on the money 😭 She cheated. Multiple times. One time with a good friend of mine. I won’t go into the whole story because that would turn this into a novel, but it definitely changed the way I look at relationships. I used to think having someone was almost something I needed, whereas now I’m way more focused on building a life I’m actually happy with first. If someone eventually fits into that life, great. If not, I’m not going to force it. Also, the big bed argument is honestly extremely convincing lmao. Having the entire bed to yourself is an underrated luxury!
And thank you for saying that about my age too. That’s probably the part I’m still fighting with the most mentally. I know 27 isn’t actually old, but starting university again makes me feel like I’m “behind” sometimes. Still, I’d rather start over now than spend the next ten years wishing I had. So yeah, anyone who thinks it’s too late can receive the ceremonial middle finger and move along lmao.
The Japan dream definitely feels a lot more real now too. Before it was mostly just “I really want to live there someday.” Now I actually have a path toward it: university, Japanese, studying in Japan later as part of the program, and then hopefully building something from there. That makes a huge difference mentally.
So yeah, I’m scared, but for once I’m also genuinely excited about where my life is going. Hopefully this really is the beginning of something good ^^
Hii! It's everything nice here (unless work haha), what about you? :)
Yesterday i finished to read Apothecary Diaries (manga- volume 7) but some people told me the novels are better (i dont know if in my country are available). I love the relationship Maomao-Jinshi. It's one of those animes that i didnt watch when it was released but i LOVED it the first time i watched it.
I'm glad you like One Piece. It was one of my firsts anime (the really really first one was Kaichou wa Maid sama). Are you currently watching it? Did you see the live action? (i love it too)
This season i'm watching more animes that i should (because i don't have much time to see them), but in my opinion, the best of this season are:
* Futsutsuka na Akujo (it's a bit similar to Apothecary Diaries)
* Gran Blue (it's really silly xd but i like it)
* Nijusseiki Denki Mokuroku (it has amazing visuals and the story is really good)
* Otome Kaijuu Carameliser (i started reading the manga and noticed it was going to be an anime so i inmediately put it on my watching list).
* Perfect Addiction (you're seeing it too hehe. It's cute, but short)
* Toumei na Yoru ni Kakeru (seems a normal anime BUT i'm literally crying in this last chapters).
And some second (or more) seasons of another animes :p
I never considered that Uranus could be a living weapon, I always just assumed it was mechanical but that is interesting as we've heard it mentioned but never even seen it or had it described beyond being a weapon. Yeah Baron Omatsuri was directed by Mamoru Hosoda who's a pretty prolific director and his creatice vision in the movie really shows, compared to the other movies which don't really have much of a creative direction; on a similar note, I'd love for Megumi Ishitani (who directed Fan Letter and some masterpiece episodes in Wano) to direct a movie, it would be generational.
I wonder how the God Valley movie will work given it's in the middle of a larger flashback, will they cut the Harald stuff in the movie, how they will modify things to make it feel like a full movie. I've heard lots of speculation about BaaD, about it being a Blackbeard movie, or a Void Century movie, personally I don't think it'll be either and just be your usual filler movie but if it's canon that would be cool.
Yeah and maybe the Blackbeard Pirates could be defeated in Laugh Tale before the final war in Mariejois even gets going, in which case maybe some Straw Hats could be paired against God's Knights after all. I agree with your theory of Blackbeard taking Imu's powers, having Blackbeard be the true final villain would be poetic. Even if the Lunarians really are extinct they still technically are 'living' due to the Seraphim, not to mention Imu's wings look similar to the Lunarians so maybe he could be related to them, or was experimented on to gain their wings.
Yeah I want to see more of those good Marines, especially ones who have been sidelined for too long like Smoker and Tashigi; imagining Fujitora dropping a meteor on a group of confused marines is funny. If Blackbeard kidnapped Shirahoshi that would be quite a feat, then he would have her, Pudding, and Garp kidnapped, managing to piss off all sides lol. Yeah I imagine there was a traitor within the Ancient Kingdom who might've disabled their technology, catching them off guard and allowing the other kingdoms to take them down in that brief period where they lost their technology or something along those lines.
Actually Usopp did briefly use his Observation Haki again in Elbaph when he sensed something happened to Luffy in his fight with Imu, hopefully a hint that his haki will become important again this arc and he'll actually do something before the arc is over. Not to mention, Sanji finally about to get Conqueror's after we've been teased for that so long is nice.
Yeah, concepts like fate, destiny, and the chosen one just don't fit well with the themes One Piece has built up at all, thankfully it seems like Oda isn't going to go there. I don't see Luffy actually taking the Joy Boy moniker, he'll forever be Straw Hat Luffy; though I wonder if Shanks does truly take his Straw Hat back at the end, what will the Straw Hat Pirates will be called then, though I think Shanks will let Luffy keep the hat even if Luffy insists on giving it back. That's interesting, why were all 3 weapons needed and not just Poseidon, why was a man-built ship like Pluton needed when the other weapons are so powerful on their own.
My! You have deep feelings for Suzaku. Deep, NEGATIVE feelings 😂😂😂
Yeah, the other seasons gave us a blonde Lelouch with an up-beat character, so I was like:
Naaah. Not on my watch 💯
Please believe me when I tell you that the countryside in South Korea has even worse repercussions if one decides to live in it. The whole country basically needs monster levels of patience & complete re-programming for how people should live.
I think the shogun does have 2 sides of him: his real character away from the responsibilities of his position & the face/ facade he puts on to fulfil the image he has to portray as the shogun (and what is socially considered the right behaviour in the eyes of the public, since we already know that we're dealing with a society that derives its principals from collective thinking & a tough regime of looking up to predecessors rather than the brilliance of individuality). I think this is where the difference lies & this is why we can't make up our minds about his character.
Ito is just super lovely to me. Every time she gets nervous about something, I find myself laughing at every facial expression she makes.
Yup, just finished season 2 of "Derry Girls" which was a total blast for me & going to start season 3 very soon. Still trying to work "Arcane" in my busy schedule, but I'm finding it difficult at the moment.
BTW, Do you have any animes you're looking forward to for the Autumn season?

Yes I let go. Her brother contacted me asking what had happened and I let him know and honestly blocked him after that. I don't need it.
I haven't gotten to Sayonara Lara
Thanks!
Hmmm I'm not sure. I know for sure I'll be watching the final arc of Tokyo Revengers. Other than that I haven't checked what's gonna be released. How about you? What are you excited for?
Well I'm starting to feel sensitivity so I'll have to check that out
And yeah, totally on Smoking Behind the Supermarket.
I have been watching Bleach since middle school that might be the greatest episode I have ever witnessed. Everything was perfect from the animation to soundtrack, direction, voice acting, sound effects and storytelling.
Hopefully this really is the beginning of something good ^^
Yesterday i finished to read Apothecary Diaries (manga- volume 7) but some people told me the novels are better (i dont know if in my country are available).
Yes I broke off ties with her. It's a bit disappointing because I've known her for many years. Honestly it's tiring.
Really? I'll have to check it out
I definitely did :)
Wish you a lovely end of the week 😊
